Northenden is a south Manchester suburb on the south bank of the River Mersey, about five miles from the city centre and four from Manchester Airport, set in the triangle formed by the M56, the M60 and Princess Parkway. It was part of Cheshire until it was absorbed into Manchester in 1931, and we pick up across Northenden and the neighbouring parts of Wythenshawe for airport runs, hospital visits and local journeys.
Princess Parkway runs along the edge of Northenden, so your driver will usually join it straight away and stay on it as it becomes the M56, then come off at junction 5 for the terminals. If the motorway is slow, the local roads through Wythenshawe are the alternative.
Typical journey time: around 10 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic and the time of day.
We track your flight on the way back too, so your driver is there when you land. Read more about our Manchester Airport taxi service.
We collect from homes, hotels and workplaces across Northenden and the surrounding parts of south Manchester, including:
Northern Moor and Wythenshawe Park Metrolink stops, and Gatley station, all work well as meeting points.
Not just airport runs: we take local and longer bookings too, including trips to:
