Dukinfield sits on the south bank of the River Tame, facing Ashton-under-Lyne across the water, in the Borough of Tameside, with Stalybridge to the north-east and Hyde to the south. We cover the whole town, from the streets around the town hall and Dukinfield Park to the edges of Stalybridge and Hyde, and take everyday local trips as well as airport runs. Until 1974 Dukinfield was part of Cheshire, with the Tame marking the old county boundary.
Dukinfield is within easy reach of two motorways: your driver can head south through Hyde to the M67, or cross the river into Ashton-under-Lyne and join the M60. Either way, the M60 then carries you south past Stockport onto the M56, and we leave the M56 at junction 5 for the airport.
Typical journey time: around 25 to 35 minutes, depending on traffic and the time of day.
We track your flight on the way back too, so your driver is there when you land. Read more about our Manchester Airport taxi service.
We collect from homes, hotels and workplaces across Dukinfield and the neighbouring Tameside towns, including:
Dukinfield has no station of its own, so we can meet you at Stalybridge or Ashton-under-Lyne station, or at the Ashton-under-Lyne Metrolink stop.
